Because of the amount of information now available online we access that information FIRST and enter it into their return as appropriate. This includes deductions claimed in previous years, income, spouse and health fund details. Using this information and with our vast experience we can predict the likely and unlikely deductions.

We discuss these deductions with you to ensure they are accurate and/or explain the ATO rules for claiming. We frequently find legal deductions, large and small, that haven’t been claimed by the previous Accountant. And we often find deductions that haven’t been claimed because you may not have been aware that you don’t have to keep records for certain expenses or could estimate costs using ATO guidelines.

Once the return is complete it is sent out to you to sign and we arrange payment of our fee. Our fee can be paid either up front or deducted from the refund (an additional fee applies).

The return is lodged with the ATO.

We monitor the progress of all returns to ensure there aren’t any unnecessary delays or issues.

Finally, you receive your refund and/or notice of assessment.
